Claire’s contribution to our cause…

Claire…  Claire…  Claire…  What can I say?  She cares about us Stash-aholics.  She really wants us to get better.  She has been telling us for years about the evils of buying…  Now mind you I have NOTHING against having 50 WIPs…  I just need to spend less.

Well Claire, being the helpful friend that she is decided that we all needed a 12 Step Program.  She has made some slight modifications though so that we could relate.  Thank you Claire….  LOL….

1.  We admitted we were powerless over stash—that our WIPs had become unmanageable.
2.  Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.  It’s called “FINISHING” what we have in our stash.
3.  Made a decision to turn our stash over to the care of ebay (or each other) if we need to.
4.  Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our WIPs and stash.
5.  Admitted to Claire, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our stash-mania.
6.  Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character (I left this one exactly as is…..couldn’t make it any better!).
7.  Humbly asked Stacy to remove our overabundance of stash and sell it in her ebay store.
8.  Made a list of all the WIPs we had unfinished, and became willing to make finishes out of them all.
9.  Made direct attempts to work on one WIP at a time whenever possible, except when NEEDING to finish another WIP.
10. Continued to take stash and WIP inventory and when we were out of control, promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through individual and group stitching to improve our finishes, stitching only WIPs, and the power to turn away from impulse stash purchases.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to stash-maniacs everywhere, and to practice these principles in all our stitching.

Good luck and the hot-line will be open……..

Now isn’t that kind of support sweet????  However I think I object to #9….
